Healing of Memories/Awareness
Healing of Memories/Awareness
A "WORKSHEET" is simply a way for you to look squarely at yourself and see where you are. Like a GPS system in your car or in your phone, you have to know where you're at, honestly, clearly and completely.
At the beginning of these worksheets, take time to pause and quiet yourself, breathing and relaxing as mentioned in the "HOW TO USE" tab. This is a great time for reflection as to how to care for yourself. Ask the Holy Spirit for inspiration and insight as you work through this worksheet.

This Worksheet is designed for you to visit some important memories of events in your life that may have impacted you in areas such as: a Sense of Safety, Worth, Identity, Belonging and Effectiveness.
Here's an example.....
A person may have memories of a father who was emotionally distant, critical, un-involved and un-affectionate. The impact of such memories might easily be.....
FEELINGS of being lonely, abandoned, unwanted and unattractive, which may lead to.....
LOSSES of a sense of safety, belonging, worth, effectiveness.....
BELIEFS such as: "I have no need for closeness and intimacy because those things will never be there for me! I am unimportant. I am unattractive. I am undesirable." These in turn lead to.....
BEHAVIOR which includes seeking desperately to be notice by men. Trying desperately to succeed in order to be visible. Seeking affection by having sex.
Here's another example of another person's background.....
A person may have memories of being grounded and punished for an extended period of time. The impact of such memories might easily be.....
FEELINGS of being trapped, bad, confined and anger, which may lead to.....
LOSSES such as an on-going sense of being unsafe, expectations of punishment from God and others, and loss of a positive self-image.
BELIEFS such as: "I'm bad and punishment will happen and I will be confined and trapped. This is what I deserve." These in turn lead to.....
BEHAVIOR which includes panic when confined. Being a Rebel in order to find "freedom". Being withdrawn and shutdown to protect yourself from guilt and fright.
Describe some important memories of events in your own life that may have impacted you in areas such as: a Sense of Safety, Worth, Identity, Belonging and Effectiveness. If you are able, take these memories and go deeper to the resulting FEELINGS, BELIEFS, and BEHAVIORS that took root in you.....
Now that you have finished the worksheet, its a great time to talk with Jesus about what has become more clear to you. As you do this, remember that He is with you, He sees you, He hears your call for help, He understands you with deep empathy, and His heart of Love intervenes to work all things together for good.
And a good conversation goes both ways, so be sure to then listen for all the insights He has for you! He will make the Scriptures you need come alive, He may use songs, He may use images, He may use "word-pictures", etc., all prepared especially for you and only you at this time of your healing and growth!
