WEEK 2
BEGINNING TO TELL MY STORY
Worship, Prayer and Sharing
Scripture
The purpose of this group is to live out and embrace the following truths:
WE DO NOT, AND CAN NOT, EARN GOD’S LOVE, BECAUSE HE LOVED US FIRST.
IT IS ONLY BY RECEIVING HIS LOVE THAT WE BECOME COMFORTED AND FREE.
WE CANNOT OBTAIN COMFORT AND FREEDOM BY FOLLOWING OUR OWN WAYS AND LEANING ON OUR OWN “UNDERSTANDING”; AS WE DECIDE TO ALIGN OURSELVES WITH GOD, COMFORT AND FREEDOM COME!
“So, here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday life - your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around-life-and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to you culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention to God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it.” Romans 12: 1-2 (The Message)

“Wonderfully Made” Educational Series - “We are Designed for Love” (This is the first in a series of four Educational Documents, which are featured in Weeks 2, 4, 6, and 8, focusing on how we are designed to be able to receive healing and comfort.) Portions of these four go deeper into the science behind God's creation! Click HERE to read this.
SUMMARIZE WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED THIS WEEK ABOUT JESUS AND YOURSELF.
If you are in a group setting, it is unlikely that you will be able to study all the readings of each week during the group time. HOWEVER, be sure to study and absorb ALL OF THE READINGS during the week between sessions.
