WEEKS 5 & 6
TELLING MY STORY - "I FELT to I LOST"
TELLING MY STORY - "I FELT to I LOST"

Now we move from “I Felt” to “I Lost”. As we walk with Jesus He invites us to see ourselves and our losses clearly through His eyes, eyes filled with compassion and understanding. Consider His conversation, in John’s Gospel, with the woman at the well (found in Week 1): He knew her inside and out and spoke in a positive way with her, like He does to us. We, like her, can easily have mis-perceptions of reality.
As we become aware of mis-perceptions due to loss of our human core needs, the Holy Spirit is given to us to inspire us to hear the voice of Jesus rather than other voices. When we say "voices", we mean thoughts, emotions and beliefs within our minds and hearts. Healings flows as we become aware of the differences between our voice, the world's voice, the voice of Satan in contrast to the voice of Jesus. From that awareness we can begin to make clear choices as to whom we will agree with.
We are designed to have our inner human core needs met fully, the needs for safety, worth, belonging and significance. These needs, however, cannot usually be filled in the troubled world we are in, but rather can only be filled in a relationship with Him who designed and made us.
