WEEK SIX - BRIDGE
RENEWING MY MIND … FAITH, FEELINGS AND FORGIVENESS
RENEWING MY MIND … FAITH, FEELINGS AND FORGIVENESS

WEEK SIX … RENEWING MY MIND … FAITH, FEELINGS AND FORGIVENESS
This week is an important “crossing over” stage. We have become clearly aware of how loss has damaged our minds, hearts and bodies; we now begin to detox ourselves from negative thoughts and emotions and rather focus on the renewal of our minds. Scripture says we must “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice...” (Eph. 4: 31-32). As we detox, we are able to reflect on and receive the Lord’s own perspective of truth as well as His comfort. We begin, wisely, to ask the important questions such as: Where is this thought coming from? Why am I feeling this? What is the source of this stress or discomfort? Only through the Holy Spirit’s work within us are we set free to initiate healthy actions rather than experience unhealthy reactions based on our own feelings. And, we begin to have faith in Him, rather than in our own faith or our own feelings.
Crying out to Him ... Leads to Awareness ... which leads to Telling My Story ... which leads to Renewal of the Mind ... which leads to a Re-Write of what we believe about God, Ourselves and Others.
